Pinochle

by Masque Publishing
Pinochle is a trick-taking game for four players and played with a 48 card deck. Pinochle players score points by trick-taking and also by forming combinations of cards into melds. Play with friends or on your own. Pinochle (sometimes pinochle, or penuchle), is a trick-taking game typically for two, three or four players and played with a 48 card Pinochle deck. Derived from the card game bezique, Pinochle players score points by trick-taking and also by forming combinations of cards into melds. Pinochle is thus considered part of a "trick-and-meld" category which also includes a cousin, belote. Each pinochle hand is played in three phases: bidding, melds, and tricks.

IMHO, pinochle high scores should be like cribbage.  High scores should be determined by the difference between your score and your opponents' score.  Thanks!  Don

How do I post my high score on the leader board ???

CILLYSNOW

@dinkmom55 Sry Dinkmom, we are not able to post it. If you are the 1st person with that high score ( after midnight est ) you will get on the leader board for sure. Or if you beat the highest score anytime that day, your score will be posted for that day only. The leader board resets at midnight every day. I hope that helps.

bonnie apparently your p don't know this game, you were right to give him/her the meld bid you are not required to have aces,if your p didn't have a hand that could make that bid he should have passed.im not a pro but I do know the game!

Question:  I had 60 mld; gave P 40 mld bid.  He took; we went up.  He said "Don't give me your meld bid if you don't have Aces."  Do you agree?  Need some professional advice as I am not sure... Thnx, B

@Bonnie5 I always want my partner to give me 60 meld.  I can always pass.  However don't shoot the meld if you don't have a marriage just in case it gets dropped on you

@Bonnie5 Bonnie, you did the right thing, I would have passed the meld too!  It's up to your partner to determine if  they have the power needed to win the hand!  Lets face it, if you had the aces, you would have overbid your P. Sounds like your P  needs  to learn the game!

How do you make the leaderboard? I dont get how they score it

helawsspaniel7
helawsspaniel7

@htmn74 Making the leaderboard doesn't mean you're a great PINO player.. it means that you were LUCKY enough to get either a double run or aces around your last hand!
