Help Jack the Gold Digger, to find gold by clicking on groups of 3 or more blocks. Click on a group of 3 pieces of gold to finish a level.

Help Jack the Gold Digger, to find gold in each level

The game is played inside a mineshaft that is gradually filled with rubble from the mine. You can clear away blocks of rubble by clicking on groups of 3 or more blocks.

Eventually gold will start to appear among the blocks. You can finish a level by clicking on a group of 3 gold blocks. You can collect more than 3 pieces of gold in one level but be careful!

Each time a gold block appears in the mineshaft the speed of the blocks increases. If the stack of blocks reaches the top of the mineshaft, the game is over.

Special blocks & Tools

Scattered between the blocks you can find some handy tools that can assist you in clearing away the blocks:

Pickaxe
A pickaxe clears away all the blocks of the same color.

Dynamite
A piece of dynamite clears away a 5x5 square of blocks.

Shovel
A shovel removes an entire row of blocks.

Two types of special blocks can also appear between the normal colored blocks. The first one is the granite block. This pesky little gray block can only be removed with a shovel or a piece of dynamite.

The second type of special blocks that can appear are multiplier blocks. Multiplier blocks look just like normal colored blocks but they have a multiplier value on them. They can be removed from the playfield just as normal blocks, but they will multiply your score by the amount displayed on them. You can even link them together, so clearing away a group with a 'x2' multiplier and a 'x3' multiplier will multiply your score for that group by 6!

Controls

Click on a group of 3 or more blocks of the same color to remove them. If you run out of blocks to click on you can speed up the flow of blocks using one of the following methods:

Press the pipe on the left side of the screen

Click the right mousebutton

Press the spacebar

During the game you can use the following keys:

R	This ends the current game and starts a new one.
S	This starts or stops the sound.
P	This pauses the game.

Score

You earn 5 points for each group of three blocks that you remove from the playfield. If you remove more than 3 blocks in one click, you'll earn bonus points for every additional block. The first additional block is worth 3 points, the second additional block is worth 4 points and so on. So if you remove 4 blocks you'll earn 8 points (5 + 3) and 5 blocks will earn you 12 points (5 + 3 + 4).

If you use a tool to remove blocks from the playfield you will always earn 50 points no matter how many blocks you remove.

You can earn bonus points by removing all the blocks in the playfield. You'll receive 1000 points multiplied by the number of the level that you are playing, and the number of times you have removed all the blocks in that level. So removing all the blocks in level 3 for the second time will earn you 6000 points (1000 * 3 * 2).

After finishing a level you will receive 500 points for every piece of gold that you have collected and a bonus for each empty row in the playfield. For each empty row you will receive 100 points multiplied by the number of the level you've just finished.
